In crafting Star Wars, George Lucas borrowed liberally from the Hero's Journey, the classic tale of a hero who embarks on an adventure, encountering archetypal characters along the way. However, I'm not sure if the hero archetype was meant to be such a whiny brat, as seen in this week's Sev Space Sunday Contest.

I caught Back To The Future 2 on TV the other week and noticed all their predictions for the future - hover skateboards, flying cars, self-drying clothes, self-tying shoes, etc. And this was all in 2015! As we head into 2009, this week's Sev Space Sunday Contest wonders when all those technology boffins are going to deliver those flying cars and other wondrous inventions sci-fi movies have been promising us for the past few decades.
